Crostpaths' absolutely tore up Leas Cliff Hall on Friday night as support for Skindred, and honestly, they were the perfect band to kick things off. Hailing from Kent, they brought a sound that hits somewhere between nu-metal and metalcore – think Linkin Park and early Enter Shikari, a bit of Deadwax, with that unmistakable Skindred-style bounce and groove. Very heavy, very catchy and packed with energy.
Frontman Ritchie was an absolute force. He wasn’t just locked on the stage, but right in the action with the guests and connecting with everyone. Sharing those close, sweaty, intimate gig moments that we all live for, and then in true chaotic spirit – the bubble gun.
Watching bubbles float through the pit full of people moshing their hearts out was iconic. Everyone lit up instantly, which is such a fun and unexpected touch.
The set moved seamlessly between heavy riff-driven chaos and emotional moments, showcasing the band's range. You could feel the shift in the room depending on the track – but the energy never dropped. By the time the set ended, the venue was already drenched, bodies moving and the pit was fully warmed up and ready for Skindred.
Crostpaths are absolutely one to watch!
